Jen, Laura, Eddie, Shelly and all of my Beloved's,
Thailand is unique with great food. My private beach hut is
amazing...right on the water for $10 a night! Email is a pain,
so this is short and sweet. Weather is great. Swimming is so
awesome, that I decided to skip whistling on the River Qwai and stay
two more days.
I love you all and see you on the 6th!

Hello World!
The newest Women's International Whistling Grande Champion has been
crowned! And it is none other than yours truly!!
I should be sleeping and packing for our next whistling concert in
Osaka, but I could not rest until I let you all of you know of our
accomplishment. I say "our" because this milestone and
accomplishment was truly a group effort. My friends and clients,
a.k.a "family", have been invaluable. I am so moved by your support,
love, generosity of mind, body and spirit.
I am proud to say that I worked harder on this goal than any in my
life, and it has taken me to the next level of my life in so many
areas. It is a wonderful feeling to be proud of yourself, and to be
recognized by the international musical community is the icing on
the cake!
I look forward to this year of being an ambassador of musical
whistling, an art form growing in popularity and respect. I know, a
lot of exclamation points, what do you expect! Please feel free to
brag to friends and forward this email. Lips for hire!
With Love and Affection,
Carole Anne Kaufman

Hello All,
I am here
whistling it up in Japan. Tokyo was very interesting and hot and
wet, the humidity is WOW! I have never sweated so much sitting down.
I have eaten much mystery food and loving it. I was whistling down
the street practicing with my MP3 player, people kept looking to see
what it was.. a very talented bird, perhaps.
Above are photos of my adventures and of my capsule hotel, the thing
that looks like a pod! Was really neat, it even has a TV in it. I
also met up with some other tourists and went to Sinjuku - a totally
exciting part of town with lights and the most exciting teens you
have ever seen. The hair here is absolutely amazing. I need to take
a class to learn how they make the men so fabulous. Since only a few
people color their hair, it’s all about the cut.
I am here in Ushiku and all is very well. The Japan Whistlers
Federation is doing an amazing job, even the programs are gorgeous.
I did the opening concept last night, 3 songs, went amazing! The
audience was loving all of us. The theatre is spectacular. My lips
are loving it. Sunday the "real" competition starts, and I am
getting excited. I just need to breathe!
Thank you to everyone that has been a part of making this trip
possible, I am simply overwhelmed and humbled by your generosity. I
truly feel like just being here is a milestone.
Well, back to whistling. It is 11 am and you are at 7 pm, the day
before.
With love and gratitude,
The West Coast Whistler
